Fashion's Night Out set for September 10, 2010

FASHION'S NIGHT OUT SET FOR SEPTEMBER 10, 2010

BEVERLY CENTER TO BE A CENTRAL HUB FOR CITYWIDE INITIATIVE WITH MAYORAL KICK OFF, FASHION SHOWS, AND CELEBRITY GUESTS

Los Angeles, Calif., ----  FASHION’S NIGHT OUT Los Angeles, hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Business Policy, and Vogue Magazine have partnered with premier fashion destination, Beverly Center, to helm the citywide event on September 10, 2010.

“Beverly Center is incredibly honored to host this historic effort in partnership with the City of Los Angeles.  We are confident that Fashion’s Night Out, like Beverly Center itself, will become a unique, iconic and quintessential institution, which celebrates the local diversity of retail, the fashion industry and the strong stylist presence, which is uniquely Los Angeles,“ says Jefferson Brown, General Manager of Beverly Center.

Beverly Center will kick off the event at 5:00 p.m. that evening with the Honorable Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa who will be joined by esteemed West Coast Editor of Vogue, Lisa Love, Designer Randolph Duke, and other influential L.A. fashion figures and celebrities.

As a premier partner of the City of Los Angeles, Beverly Center will host a VIP reception and a star-studded, large-scale fashion show in Center Court.  In addition, in-store celebrity personal appearances, retailer promotions, shopper incentives, gift bags, music, and more will highlight the night’s program at Beverly Center.  Proceeds from the evening’s events will be earmarked for California Fashion Association Foundation and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM).

Fashion’s Night Out is an unprecedented global initiative started in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and put the fun back in shopping.  For one night last September in New York City and twelve other cities around the world, designers and celebrities staged exciting one-of-a-kind events in stores open to the public. Please go to www.beverlycenter.com for updates on celebrity appearances, designers, promotions, and entertainment.  For more information on Fashion’s Night Out, please go to www.fashionsnightout.com.
